They feel protective. The leather is genuine. The carbon fiber knuckles are secured to a double stitched piece. There is extra padding between the carbon fiber knuckles and yours to help disperse impacts, and the actual carbon fiber part is larger than it looks. The palm slider piece is likewise double stiched. The pinky has an extra piece of protective leather which is a nice touch (though there is no slider/armor). The palm sliders are low friction but are pretty minimal—they don't feel like they would last super long in a bad slide. The knuckle protectors on the pointer, middle, and ring fingers are a grippy, hard rubber (about the softness of a car tire).
Most seams are on the outside and so the gloves are quite comfortable. The fingers are pre curved nicely. Order the size your hand is.
The perforations on the fingers do little to ventilate. The metal mesh on the back of the hand does some; you need to go above ~35 to really notice the effect though. On hot days the gloves are only a bit warm and sweaty. On cold days, they provide surprisingly little insulation but my fingers haven't frozen.
The wrist strap's buckle is really wide for how wide the strap is and feels cheap. It has a tendency to rotate to relax the strap. The velcro on the gauntlet straps is excellent (holds securely and is gentle), as is the padding and overall interior lining material. The velcro on the wrist strap however can stick to the gauntlet's lining and deal minor cosmetic damage, so make sure to re-velcro the wrist strap when not in use.
The touch pads don't conform around the sides of your fingers at all, but you can still use your phone decently well.
A couple (literally two) individual stitch loops were loose, and there was a loose thread in one of the fingers, but the build quality is otherwise high. The two gloves are symmetrical.
Though I would've preferred more white, the design is nice and they aren't super bulky. Dexterity is obviously impaired, but not as much as you might expect. Mostly I only run into issues fishing through my jacket pocket. I can pick up coins and other small objects from the ground without much issue.
Overall, quite comfortable, feel very protective, nice design. For the price, they are beyond excellent.
